From the beginning of the Practice, Jim has served many different administrative and development roles that ultimately led to CEO of PERSOMA P.C. He received a Bachelors Degree from Washington and Jefferson College and a Master Degree and Doctoral Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling for the University of Pittsburgh. Jim received his early leadership training as a Commissioned Combat Officer in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. Jim has over 40 years of behavioral healthcare and business management training and experience including work in the public sector where for many years, he was the director of mental health and substance abuse services for a local community mental health center. Since helping to form PERSOMA, his managerial and consultation experience has included working with profit and non-profit organizations during various stages of change. Over the past 20 years, Jim’s work has also included management coaching services. Jim is a lifetime member of the American Psychological Association.
